The 1-page AI policy for your law firm

From the LinkedIn Live with Yunes Seulami, a lawyer and the founder of We SimpliFi: 3 essentials, 6 steps, and a policy you can copy and fill in today.

Alejo Pijuan and Paige Pijuan · Realize Partners · We are not lawyers; have your own counsel read your final version.

The 3 essentials in 6 steps

Protect, verify, train

A · Protect client data
1

List the AI tools people can use

Name each tool and the plan it is on. A tool not on the list is not used for client work.

2

One approved enterprise plan

Personal accounts, free or paid, never touch client work.

B · Verify every output
3

Check every citation against the source

Every case, quote and fact is read in the original before it leaves the firm.

4

The lawyer who signs owns it

Whatever tool helped, the signer is responsible for the work.

C · Train your people
5

A champion owns the training

One named person runs the training and answers questions. Nobody uses AI on client work before it.

6

Practice on a case you know by heart

Retell it with fake names, then ask the AI 5 questions you already know the answers to.
